We left off after spending Christmas Eve at the Dole Plantation. Christmas day we planned a low key day at home. However, one of Samantha's friends, Sharon (remember her from Day 1--we went to the North Shore with her family), invited us over for a wonderful traditional Christmas ham dinner. So there aren't many photos, just a few in the morning of opening presents.
Here is a picture of Samantha's tree.
Duncan and Claudia still had their stockings to open, after all Santa visits everywhere, even Hawaii. (See the OU stocking in the picture of the tree above? Yep, I mailed our stockings to my sister along with their gifts, so the kids would have their stockings.) Duncan got yet another batmobile and batman (can never have too many batmans....batmen? Huh). Claudia got more my little ponies.
Here is Kaitlin taking a picture of Samantha with her new camera. (See the marble run box to the left of Kaitlin? That was our present to her. It was a great hit, but marbles were rolling all over the floor over the next few days. Duncan probably played more with it than Kaitlin.)
The meal was wonderful. We had a great time talking with Sharon and her family. I'm always amazed at how well military families handle the changing living conditions/deployments/etc.
The day after Christmas was Saturday. We spent the morning at the swap meet (aka flea market). Wow, it was huge! It completely surrounds the Aloha Stadium. Huge. It took us a couple of hours to get through it all. I'll take a picture of some of the things we got at the swap meet and post it later. And then I think we played wii and did some odd and end sorts of things. No pictures from that day.
